A tribute to Song For Sharon by Joni Mitchell.

Joni is such a vivid storyteller.  I brought elements of the haunting song into this piece to depict an imagery of hope along with unrealized dreams, offering the viewer a feeling of emotional yearning and disillusionment.  I added an aging wedding gown to convey waiting…waiting…waiting.

So far from satisfaction, she still has her eyes on the land and the sky and walks along green pastures…chasing dreams and that lacy dress of love.
